Keywords Analyzer
This tool scored the highest in my reviews because it does the job of digging out good keyphrases better than the competitors. (Even though it doesn't cost as much). The good thing about it is that although there's a lot you can play around with, it's easy to get to grips with straight away: |
| 1) Start the software and then click on Simple Search. | ![]() |
| 2) Enter one or more keywords into this box. Add one keyphrase per line. Start off by searching for one to see how it all works. | ![]() |
| 3) Click on the play button. | |
| 4) The keywords are then listed in the keyword window. I then hold CTRL down on the keyboard and click on the words I want to keep. Then right click and choose COPY. You can then paste them into a text editor, Excel - or whatever you like to store your lists in. | ![]() |

Keyword Elite
At the risk of sounding geeky, Keyword Elite is just a lovely tool. Although I prefer Keywords Analyzer I did give this product a good review. There's plenty of advanced, powerful keyword building tools but here's the fast track to building a simple keyword list with it. |
| 1) Start the software and then skip down to step 2. In the box, enter your keyword, or something relating closely to your industry. | ![]() |
| 2) Skip down to step 4 and set the slider to 400. This is how many phrases we're going to set it to bring back. More phrases will take longer to get. Now go and make a cup of tea / coffee! | ![]() |
| 3) Look up at the top right of the screen and click on Report View. | |
| 4) The keywords are then listed in the keyword window. As with Keywords Analyzer you can CTRL + click to select words or you can hit the Export button at the top of the software window. | ![]() |
